Affiliated with Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, this self-financed co-education institution was initially named 'Durlabhbhai Ramjibhai Bhanabhai Commerce College' and is under the ownership of the esteemed trust "KANTHA VIBHAG NAVNIRMAN MANDAL," with a legacy dating back to 1965, dedicated to the noble cause of education.

In its early years, the college commenced its journey with a single division offering F.Y.B.Com. (Guj.Med.), welcoming 106 eager students. Operating initially from rental premises for a year and a half, the institution shifted to its own premises in the academic year 2003-04, marking a significant milestone. The subsequent academic year, 2004-05, witnessed another stride as the college gained permission to introduce English Medium classes in the commerce stream, prompting a rechristening to its present title, "Durlabhbhai Ramjibhai Patel & Ramjibhai Bhanabhai Patel Commerce College (Self-finance-Gujarati Medium & English Medium)."
